Thanksgiving 2008

We had a quiet Thanksgiving, after a busy, busy few days. Because it is what I do, I had all the traditional things we have learned to expect ready by noon. Casey and her family joined us, Irene and her family went to Greeley.

Prior to this day we had been scrambling, and this week we are scrambling again. Carpet is due any day, and rooms need to be emptied, anyone knowing us sees the enormity of this task. Casey's baby, due Thanksgiving day, is late but imminent. We have painted a dresser and are hanging near a phone most of the time.

I spent a week with Jill, recuperating her with the hip replacement......and we just enjoyed it like there was no walker or pain pills or scooting the leg across the bed going on. We took some neat shots in Fort Worth. They will be in a later update, I am busy moving picture frames to a storage room right now.

Handsome

He is just so dad gum goodlooking. Don't know what it is particularly... but he looks kind.
My picture doesn't do him justice.

Midnight painting

I couldn't sleep, so as soon as Don crashed I got back up, re-drew and then painted the picture of Jake, making something on the band saw. I checked it this morning and tweaked it--think I will leave it alone now, that doesn't mean I wont alter it later!
